Our goal in benefiting Animal Rescue organizations is to get the animals healthy and into responsible and loving homes forever. This year's recipients include but are not limited to: Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO), Zeus' Rescues, Take Paws Rescue, Trampled Rose Rescue and Looziana Basset Rescue.
This event is planned as a Live - on the ground 5K Run/Walk
A Virtual registration / participation option is also available.
If unable to join us at the Live event or the Virtual event you can support Animal Rescue organizations by making a Donation ( see donation link below )

NOLA Dogs " Race to the Rescue " 5K Run/Walk , SUNDAY, November 28, 2021 - Lafreniere Park, Metairie, La. 70003
7:00 am - Day of race Registration and Packet Pickup Opens
8:30 am - Start of 5K Run Division
8:31 am - Start of 5K Walk Division
NOTE: Run/Walk is in support of our four legged creatures
PARTICIPATION IN THE RUN / WALK IS FOR TWO LEGGED CREATURES ( HUMANS ) .
DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE 5K RUN / WALK and on the COURSE
NORSI / NOLArunning.com strongly requests to leave your dog at home.
Entry fees Schedule:
$25.00 by October 10th, $30.00 by November 10th, $35.00 by November 26th and at pre-race packet pickup event, $40.00 on the day of race at the race site.
Register as an Individual or Put a Team together and invite others ( Teams are non competitive )
Packet Pickup details: ( T-Shirt, Race Number bib ) * Two options
Pre-Race day scheduled for Friday, November 26th ( 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) hosted by the Alice & Amelia Gift Shop, 4432 Magazine Street, New Orleans, La. 70115 ( NOTE: Entrants registered by Friday morning, November 26th ( 8:00 am ) will have their packet ready at the pre-race day packet pickup event. If registered after that time , pickup on day of race at race site ( see below )
or On the Day of race at the race site ( Lafreniere Park ) opening at 7:00 am
Parking / Lafreniere Park entry ( IMPORTANT ) : Please arrive inside park by 7:30 am . Plenty of parking in the large lots located on each side of the lake peninsula. ( See course map for location reference )

Awards: Custom commemorative finisher medallions to all official 5K Finishers
Awards - 5K Divisions: 1st overall male and female receive a gift certificate courtesy of Alice & Amelia Gift Shop. Age group division awards 1st place male and female in ages 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-over.
There will be numerous Random Awards given out!
Chip Timed event: Please wear your bib number on front only and visible. Your timing chip is affixed to reverse side of bib. Cross check name label printed on bib to confirm name is your name. Each bib is issued specifically for each individual entrant.
