2nd Virtual Rocky Raccoon Run
1K, 5K or 10K
October 11, 2021 and ends November 21, 2021
Join the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance as we host our 2nd Virtual Rocky Raccoon Run. Every person who participates will make a direct impact by supporting those who have been affected by burn injuries as well as promoting the IFSA mission!
Whether you choose to run or walk, we have three different distances to choose from - 1K, 5K, or 10K. The great thing about participating in this event is you get to choose when and where you would like to run! After you finish, submit your results, and earn your medal.
All Rocky Raccoon Runners have the opportunity to bring additional awareness and support to our mission during this event - Set up your fundraiser (optional) during registration!
We will be using the Runkeeper app, available for iPhone and Android. Registrants will receive detailed information by email on how to download the app and link it to the race. Uploading your results will be applicable October 11 - November 21.
Prior to running we recommend that you download the Runkeeper app via this link . Participants can automatically and effortlessly post results to Race Roster. Now, once you have completed your event and saved your activity, you will be shown confirmation that your time has been automatically posted on the event’s results page! Soon after, you will receive an email with a link to view your result and finisher certificate.
About Rocky Raccoon
Rocky Raccoon is a lovable, yet elusive character at Camp “I Am Me.” Each morning, while the campers our out having memorable experiences at one of the more than 50 various activities, Rocky races into every cabin to inspect and determine how tidy, or not, the living quarters are. Campers have the ability to cleanup as thoroughly as they care to. However, Rocky awards daily points to each of the 13 cabins based on their level of cleanliness and at the end of the week-long camp, only one winning cabin is celebrated – and those campers are honored by receiving the Rocky Raccoon Award!

For this year's Virtual Run for the Mind, use the RunKeeper app or you can upload your time and a screenshot of your course w/time and distance.
Medals
At the completion of the virtual run, the IFSA will be mailing out your medal around November 28th - December 5th. Notification will be sent to all participants at that time.
Recognition
Bragging Rights! Be the Top Three Male and Female in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & older. Download your finishers certificate. 5K & 10K participants receive a race shirt and medal. 1K participants receive a medal.
