Raise money for Hamilton Food Share
Operating for over 30 years, Hamilton Food Share is the city of Hamilton’s Emergency Food Shipping and Receiving Hub, and Emergency Food Systems Coordinator for the network of agencies we support.
We provide food resources to 16 hunger relief agencies, operating 23 emergency food programs across the greater Hamilton region. The growth of our network has allowed Hamilton Food Share to remain inclusive and touch every corner of our city. We are now able to support communities and individuals who have previously faced barriers in accessing emergency food programs by increasing our capacity to allocate food that meet the needs of our city.
The emergency food programs that Hamilton Food Share supports see almost 8,500 visits every month. This represents over 12,565 unique individuals residing in 5,500 households, 36% of whom are children. Additionally, to food dispersal these programs are also serving over 21,000 hot meals each month.
A $1 donation will provide $5 of food for our city. Thank you so much for thinking about feeding our neighbours at this time of year.
