With things not being quite right for our world-famous potluck, we're celebrating the holiday season in a different way this year: With a festive 5K!
The Idea:
The idea for this one is simple: put on your best holiday wear (go as epic or low key as you want), come on out and race or jog a 5K!
If you aren't running it with the group, you must take a selfie showing your holiday attire and post it with your Strava activity.
All runners who finish will get a festive prize from My Next KW Home Group!
The Course:
We decided to go with one where cars and intersections will not be a factor.
It's not the fastest, but it's fair, spectators will get to see lots of action, and it has a nice downhill finish when you need it the most!

When:
Our official group start is 9:30am! Come to this one if at all possible- the more competition on race day the better!
It can also be completed anytime from Thursday the 9th up to our 9:30am start time on the 11th. Those who finish outside of our group start will not get the prize from My Next KW Home Group.
Timing will be completed with your Strava segment time. GPS watches, a Strava account, and being a member of the H+P Strava group is required!
Results:
Results will be posted on HPWR.
Rankings will be based on segment time for this one.
Top finishers will get social media props.
Top COSTUMES (as voted by H+Pers after the race) will get prizes from New Balance Canada!
COVID:
Must either be vaccinated or have a negative test within 48 hours of race day. Pass this self screen on race day.
