E.C. Manning Provincial Park is an absolute treasure in the heart of the Northern Cascade Mountains, on the ancestral land of the Upper Similkameen (Smelqmix) band and the Stó:lō Nation. Our trail race begins at Lightning Lake and follows the lake through beautiful rolling, single-track trails, through mossy trees, and up to the ski hill area where we celebrate with snacks, Old Yale Brewing beer, and high fives. No matter the distance you choose, you can expect to see stunning views of snowy peaks, including Hozomeen Mountain, and many others in the Northern Cascades. All of our race distances are point-to-point races that the whole family can enjoy!
This race includes FOUR distance options:
1 mile ascent race (Friday, July 15th)
10 km (Saturday, July 16th)
21 km (Saturday, July 16th)
Double header: 1 mile ascent + 21 km (Friday and Saturday)
As with all of our events, we also offer a free kids race following the start of the 21 km race. This is a fun 1 km run on the trails and is a great chance to bring the whole family and get involved! Pre-registration is not required for the kids race.
