Help Mike raise money

Dear friends and family,

Yes, you are reading this right, I have once again chosen to run in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon's 5k charity challenge.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am NOT a runner! But when it comes to supporting a great cause like Trees for Life, it's enough to get me to rise to the challenge and step outside of my comfort zone. I have done this twice in the past for other causes with moderate success.*
*Success = Completing the race. Not fast, but completed nonetheless

Our team (The Acorns!) has set a goal of raising $5,000 and I have set a personal goal to raise half of that, or a total of $2,500. If we can do more, even better!
I run this race thinking of my three kids and the planet they will inherit from us. I believe it's up to us to do everything we can to leave them a planet that is as healthy as possible and raising funds to plant trees is one of the easiest ways to do that.
