My Story…
Hi All,

I will be running my first marathon on October 16th in Toronto. The goal is to finish sub 4 hours, with no walking and/or breaks.
All donations will be going to jack.org. They are a Canadian organization working to revolutionize mental health, particularly in the youth population. Suicide is currently the leading health-related cause of death for young people in Canada, with 1 in 7 reporting suicidal thoughts. This translates to roughly 150,000 suicide attempts each year.
Last week I got the very saddening news of an old friend who was one of those 150,000, and for him, it was fatal. I had not had the pleasure of his company for the last 10 years, but he was a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly. I will be running in memory of Shane on the 16th and ask for your donations on behalf of him, his family, and all the youth in this country currently struggling.
