Our story…
The Friends of South Asia supports the appreciation for and cultivates awareness of the ROM’s South Asian gallery, collection and curator, Dr. Deepali Dewan. We strive to forge and maintain links with all those who are curious about and interested in Global South Asian art, culture and history and its diasporas.
Our fundraising efforts have helped in the acquisition of Canadian contemporary art for the collection, the production of a short film on Toronto's Bangla Town as well as contributing funds for the catalogue of the exhibition, Swapnaa Tamhane: Mobile Palace.
