The 8th annual New Year's Resolution Run 5k and 10k takes place in downtown Asheville and is a fantastic way to say goodbye 2021 and welcome 2022 with new goals! This annual running event races through the streets of Downtown Asheville, NC on New Year’s Day, at a reasonable 10am.
We welcome families and participants of all ages to come run or crawl their way to completing their first resolution! Bring warm layers of clothes, tie up your running shoes, and get ready to ‘run into’ 2022!

Event Swag
Participants will get a free short sleeve shirt with their registration until December 12th at midnight. You can either get it for free OR upgrade it to a long sleeve version for $10. Regardless of the registration date, everyone will get an awesome finisher's mug to take to the free hot chocolate bar!

10 and under? Run with a parent!
The nature of this course (open streets/intersections/etc.) means that no child 10 or under should be unsupervised while running. If you're planning on registering kids of that age, plan on running with them!
New for 2022: Cash prizes for the 10k!
Cash prizes for the overall top three male and female winners of the 10k!
1st place - $100
2nd place - $75
3rd place - $50.
Not a super speedy runner? Don't fret we will also give out TWO cash prizes ($50 each) for random 'in the pack' 10k finishers. Must be present at the awards ceremony to accept your cash prize!
