A deadly mix of conflict, COVID-19 and the climate crisis means more than 7 million people across six countries in East Africa have been pushed to the very edge of starvation. And 34 million more are experiencing crisis levels of food insecurity. A humanitarian disaster is unfolding, food security is decreasing and without immediate scale-up of international action, the East Africa famine is likely to spread and out millions of lives at risk. 

This September the College students of Bold Park Community School will be participating in the 40-Hour Famine.

For 40 hours, we will be living off $2 per day to experience what it is like to live in a famine-stricken region.

Your support means helping to reach those in East Africa on the brink of famine with nutritious food, healthcare, child protection and clean water, sanitisation and hygiene. We must act to end world hungry now.

$10 provides two people with lifesaving food assistance.

$25 provides clean water to a family.

$50 provides nutritional supplements to treat malnourished children.

$100 provides training for good agricultural practices to 25 households.
