Deep Fried Dash 5K
Virtual Race: January 15 - February 19, 2022
Race Day: February 19th at 7AM
The virtual option of the race will be open from January 15th - February 19, 2022. The Deep Fried Dash 5K will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 7 AM in Tampa, Florida.
Registration for either event includes a finishers medal and dri-fit race shirt. Virtual participants will receive their items after the event is completed on February 19th. Participants in the in-person race day receive a fresh deep-fried corn dog from SuperDog, the official corn dog of the Deep Fried Dash, along with other items from our sponsors at the end of the race!
All proceeds from the Deep Fried Dash will benefit the Florida State Fair Foundation. The Mission of the Florida State Fair Foundation is to improve and support the Florida State Fair agricultural, scientific, and educational programs. The Florida State Fair Foundation is designated as a 501(C)(3).

Deep Fried Information
7:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 | Check-in begins at 6:00 a.m.
Course: The 5K course begins near the Florida Stage near Gate 2, runners will race through the fairgrounds around all the rides, exhibits, and concession stands and finish back at the starting line.
Time Limit: The racecourse can only be kept open for a maximum of 90 minutes after the 7:00 a.m. start time. All runners MUST complete the course in 90 minutes or less. An awards presentation will follow the race beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Awards: Champion awards go to the top three males and the top three females overall. Awards will be presented to the top individual male and female in the following categories: 19 & Under, Age 20-34, Age 35-49, Age 50-64, and 65+.
All Runners Receive: Deep Fried Dash Long Sleeve Athletic T-shirt, Deep Fried Dash Finishers Medal, admission ticket to the fair to return later that day, a corn dog from SuperDog, and other goodies provided by our sponsors.
Race Results: Results will be on FloridaStateFair.com/5k and here on Race Roster following the completion of the race.
Race Packets: Instructions, maps, and race day information will be emailed out prior to the race. Packets are not available for early pickup, runners will receive packets at check-in on the day of the race. Check-in Opens at 6:00 a.m. on Race Day. Race registrations are Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable.
Spectators: Have someone who wants to watch the race? Spectators are allowed however, they will need to purchase an admission ticket to the Florida State Fair, but no worries! That ticket will be valid to return later that day to the fair if your group decides to leave and return later. Tickets can be purchased the morning of, but it is recommended to buying advance when ticket sales begin on FloridaStateFair.com

The In-Person Race Day is Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Registration includes a Race Medal, T-shirt, and Deep-Fried Corn Dog at the completion of the 5K along with a few other items from our sponsors. This registration is for the In-Person race only and can not be transferred to virtual.
