1 km Run for Kids - 2 year Wave starts for kids from 1 yr old (with an adult) to 12 years old - oldest start first. The route is south along Brant street then a quick turn North - Children will be within eye site of parents for 80% of the run

NEELANDS GROUP LIMITED KIDSFEST AND KIDS FUN RUN
Our Neelands Group Kidsfest and Fairview Chrysler Kids 1k Fun Run have been an integral part of our Moon in June festivities for 20 years. Unfortunately with the advent of the Covid 19 pandemic we are unable to offer this event safely for 2021. Rest assured we will be back in full force with some exciting additions to these activities next year for our 31st Moon in June event. In the meantime if your children are of age to tackle the 5k event this year walking, running skateboarding, inline skating or cycling we would be happy to host them. This may be a great way to enjoy a family event while supporting Radius Child and Youth Services.

Age Restrictions
5K participants 8 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
10k participants 14 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Course
The Moon in June course is a flat fast one loop certified 5k and 2 loop certified 10km of downtown Burlington. The route highlights the fabulous Burlington Waterfront starting and finishing at the blue clock in front of City Hall. Participants are encouraged to make MIJ a family affair while supporting Radius Child and Youth Services.
Each participant will receive a virtual swag bag. All participants who register prior to May 10th will be given a Moon in June medal and t-shirt at registration package pick up.
Post Race
The Moon in June will be supporting downtown businesses with post race gift certificates at various downtown locations
Bag Check
Bag Check will be available on Race night
Cycle Corral
The Moon in June will provide a supervised bicycle corral for bike parking during KidsFest and the race. Please be sure to have your bicycle locked even in our corral. NOTE bicycles must be removed no later than 30 mins after finishing.
