Raise money for Melanoma Canada
The Melanoma Network of Canada (MNC) was founded in 2009 by Annette Cyr, a patient and three-time survivor of melanoma, in conjunction with support and assistance from Jo Anne Adams, a patient survivor, and Terra Deeth, caregiver to a husband with melanoma.
The network was founded to respond to the need for patients in Canada to have a nationally-based organization to coordinate educational and prevention efforts, provide a strong voice for advocacy, and assist in efforts to target funding for melanoma research.
The Foxtail Hundred Race Director's cousin, Paul Turkstra, passed away after a brief battle with melanoma cancer in October 2021. Paul was a dedicated father, coach, and friend known for his positive attitude and was ALWAYS in a good mood. He was a great human and was gracious and thoughtful right to the very end. We miss Paul dearly.
