My Story…
Hi again,
I am running my 2022 Pittsburgh Half Marathon race in support of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Last year, since we were not able to do the race in person, I decided to not run the half and opted for the virtual 5K. This year I am excited to be back on the starting line at Liberty Ave, and running through our beautiful city. This year, like past years, for every $10 you donate to the wonderful cause I am running for, you get to choose a song. Any song. As long as I can download it through Itunes, of course. I will then have these songs playing during the half marathon on May 1, 2022. Some past songs have been, Let It Go, Into the Unknown, Party Hard, 2001: A Space Odyssey Theme, The Beat Goes On. This year, let's try to get some more good ones to add to my playlist. Thank you for your continued support throughout the years! Do it for the Kids!!

As part of Team Children's, my participation in the 2022 Pittsburgh Marathon supports UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation.
Funds support the patients and families served by UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Last year UPMC Children's Hospital had over 1 million patient visits and many of the programs, initiatives, and resources that make UPMC Children’s so special are funded by philanthropic gifts. Things like distraction therapy which provides patients something else to focus on during their medical procedures, the Child Life Department which provides many activities to create a sense of normalcy for hospitalized children, and the Free Care Fund which covers the cost of medical care for those that cannot afford it. These areas are not covered by insurance, yet are critically important to helping families face the many challenges that accompany a child’s treatment.
