Our story…
We're running in the Ottawa Race Weekend because both of our parents have cancer.
Our father, Hans, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2015 after breaking his back during an uneventful ski trip. He's in remission thanks to ground-breaking stem cell therapy.
Earlier this year our mother, Joanne, was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. She is currently in radiation therapy and will be finishing just before the race weekend. Both parents look forward to cheering at the finish line as their children and friends complete races throughout the weekend.
Both Hans and Joanne and our whole family have benefited immeasurably from research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society. Your donation means so much as it helps continue this important research.
