My Story…
A friend of mine works closely with YouthCO and they have an amazing mission!
YouthCO is an organization of youth leaders within the HIV and Hep C movements. Their staff, volunteers, and Board members are all youth! They take a peer approach to conversations about sexual health, harm reduction, racism, colonization, and more.
Jessia Goes To Camp is a story that particularly got my attention. Camp Moomba provides youth like Jessica, who was born HIV positive, the opportunity to meet others like her, and have some fun.
"The goal of camp is for us to just be kids – without the stigma and discrimination that go along with HIV, and any other parts of our lives."
