West Moonah Neighbourhood House & Rotary Tasmania

For the past eight years the West Moonah Neighbourhood House and Rotary Tasmania have presented a Wellness Expo which is a FREE event where the public to access what health services are available and options on improving their lifestyle.

We teamed up with “Run the Bridge” for our 2021 Expo. This has proven to be a great partnership.

We also have a Wellness Breakfast (this year on 7^th October 2021)

OUR MISSION: We create a friendly, caring and inclusive environment for our community to connect with each other, learn new things and find help when they need it.

Money raised by the Neighbourhood House from these two events goes towards paying for a resident counsellor at the West Moonah Neighbourhood house. This is a free service for anyone in the community.

Rotary Tasmania 

Rotary Tasmania is part of a global network of 1.2 million passionate individuals in 35,000+ clubs worldwide. We are both an international organization and a local community leader. Together we lead change in our own backyards and across the world.

For more than 100 years, Rotary Tasmania’s people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects locally. The issue of Mental Health is one that concerns all Rotarians, and funds from this event will go towards our recent initiative, Rotary Tasmania Community Care, whose aim is to support the health and wellbeing of people in our community. Since COVID Community Care has had a focus on rural and isolated areas of Tasmania to improve their access to mental health services and to enhance social connection and wellbeing.
