2022 5 Peaks Trail Running Series: Chickakoo

August 13th, 2022

Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area, located in Parkland County, is a scenic mix of woods and lakes that attracts a diversity of birds and other wildlife such as moose, deer, beavers, and more. The 480 acres of woodland is a popular destination for runners, hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders in summer and is groomed for cross country skiers in winter.

This year’s course is a highlight of the Northern Alberta Series. Featuring technically challenging single track, grinding hill climbs, cruising wide track, and views that go on for days, the course highlights all that this park gem has to offer.

Race distances are subject to change based on trail conditions up to the day of the race.

Finishers and volunteers will receive a stainless cup to enjoy a cold post-race beverage and future hot and cold beverages.

Important Notes

In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, please do not bring the following on the race course:

No dogs
No headphones
No strollers or baby joggers
No nordic walking poles

Washrooms:

Are available at Start/Finish (Boat Launch) and 7.0 km mark (Main Parking Lot)

Spectators:

Spectators Welcome...best viewing from start/finish area.

Parking:


Parking is limited at Chickakoo. Please follow the parking attendant's direction and be prepared to park in the Equestrian Parking Lot and walk to the start/finish area.

Awards & Prizes:

The awards ceremony will be held following the completion of all competitors. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as the top three male and female finishers overall. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.

1. All prices listed above are subject to sales tax. 5% GST in BC and Alberta and 13% HST in Ontario

2. An online processing fee will be applied to your registration into this event.

3. All funds payable in Canadian Dollars.

4. VISA, MC, Amex, and Discover Card accepted.

5. Your credit card statement will show a charge from Race Roster or Fast North Corp for your online registration into this event.
