My Story…
Hi Everyone,
I finally stopped making excuses and built up the courage to run my first half marathon on May 29, 2022. I intend to raise funds to contribute to a cause that we may all have faced (unfortunately) within our network and community.
This year has started off a little rocky. I had lost my aunt Ping to cancer rather abruptly. Ping was awesome and lived a simple life. Her 3 favorite things were, Dim Sum, Newspaper, and Chinese New Years Red Pockets (I mean who doesn’t like good fortune and some extra cash?). I miss her and her authenticity to truly be herself throughout all these years. Because of this, I will be personally dedicating my first run to her.
For all of us that decide to contribute or not, this run will also be for your network and community that has been fighting or have fought against any chronic illness currently or in the past. Please also feel free to copy and paste this message to your network that you feel would like to participate. All is welcome.
I will be sending a friendly reminder on May 1, 2022. If I do not receive any response after that, I will assume this is not the right time and that is totally ok!
Thank you in advance for your time in reading this and your contributions. I wish you all nothing but good health and happiness for many years to come.
Warmest Regards,
Sam Kwong <3
