Help Jennifer raise money

Hello everyone!

I have decided to take the plunge and run the Calgary Half Marathon Race taking place on May 29th in honor of my dear friend Salma Rezk. In 2020, she was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer called Pineoblastoma which is typically only found in children. She fought a long courageous battle and became a guardian angel on November 22, 2021. She was brave and led life with a positive light-hearted mentality. I reminisce on days where we would be volunteering together at the Ronald McDonald House and families would be finding solace and laughter with Salma. Helping these kids was important to her, and I want to pay it forward by continuing to help children who struggle as she did, and give them some glimmer of joy and peace in such a difficult time.

I have decided to raise money in support of a program called BrainWAVE by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. The BrainWAVE program offers patients and their families a chance to have some fun and forget the routine of hospitals for a day. The program provides fun outing such as sports activities, emotional support and guidance for young patients and their families.

My goal is to raise $2000 to help contribute to this cause and anyone who donates $20 or greater will receive a tax receipt. With every donation, a little goes a long way! I am humbled by everyone who has taken the time to read my and Salma's story. Please copy and share this in order to spread the word as far as possible. Thank you and sending much love xx
