Dress for Success Toronto

We are part of a global movement for change. We are a local affiliate of an international not-for-profit organization operating in over 150 cities in 25 countries. Since 2009, we have helped over 14,000 women in the GTA transition from unemployment to economic independence. We work together with agency partners, corporate sponsors, individual donors, and over 300 dedicated volunteers to create real impact in women's lives.

The mission of Dress for Success Toronto is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. 

What We Do

1. The Suiting Program: A transformational experience that builds confidence and self-esteem, enabling a women to secure meaningful employment. Each client is paired one-on-one with a volunteer clothing stylist who provides advice, guidance, and recommendations during a 90 minute personal shopping appointment, and provided with two professional outfits for job interviews. When a client successfully lands a job, they return for a second appointment and receive three additional work outfits to help build a professional wardrobe. 
2. Career Services Learning Programs: Additional learning programs are offered to our clients to provide them with the tools and resources to build their professional skills and accelerate their job search. (i.e. Building your Personal Brand, Mastering Your Job Search After 40)
3. Professional Women's Group (PWG): A free, monthly forum of support that offers encouragement, practical education, and inspiration to our clients who have successfully obtained employment. 

As two pandemics - COVID-19 and systemic racism - converge on a global scale, the women we serve are shouldering a much heavier burden at home, at work, and economically.
