Run for a reason and join us for our 42nd Samson Stomp & Romp, presented by Prairie Farms Dairy. This popular race honors one of our most famous and beloved residents, Samson, the silverback gorilla (1950-1981). Money raised from the event supports all the animals in our care.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES: Long-sleeved T-shirt, admission and parking (valid 1/15/22 or 1/16/22) to run or walk at the Zoo. An email with tickets will be emailed separately. If you'd like us to mail your T-shirt, please choose this option when registering. Shipping fees apply.

AWARDS: Gorilla trophies are awarded to the top three female and male finishers in the 5k and 2-mile run, as well as to the top female and male finishers in various age categories, and to the top three finishing teams. The age categories are:

0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, & 80+

In honor of our 42nd race, those that place in spot with "42" (42, 142, 242, etc.) will get an extra special prize

Additional fun will include raffle prize drawings every hour, awards for best team name, and more!
