Relay Rules
- Have fun!
- Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Each team must consist of four runners. Each runner can only run one leg of the relay.
- To participate in the run, the runner must be at least 6 years of age (root beer will be served).
- All participants consuming a beer during the run must be 21 years of age.
- Teams can be comprised of beer drinkers and root beer drinkers.
- The participant must completely consume the beverage within the “Beverage Zone” prior to running.
- If the participant removes the beverage from the “Beverage Zone” or starts running prior to fully consuming the beverage, the runner and the runner’s team may be disqualified.
- Participants must stay on the official course at all times. It is the responsibility of each participant to know the course. Participants who leave the course during the run will be disqualified.
- Only participants running the final leg of the relay will be wearing the provided timing chip/tag in their bib. Once the final runner completes the race, the time will be recorded for the team.
- Only registered participants may be on the course during the event. Spectators are asked to remain on the sidewalks. Please do not cut across the course.
- At the race director’s discretion, the course will be cleared of participants and the race concluded. If you are still on the course, you will be asked to leave even if your team has not completed the course.
- Only service animals are allowed on the race course.
- Walker etiquette: Runners will approach walkers quickly. Please be courteous; move over to the sides of the roads when runners approach and let them have the right of way and quickest way past.
- Any runner who appears intoxicated will be asked to leave the race. If this happens, the whole team will be disqualified and asked to leave the course as well.
- The decisions of the race director are final in all matters.
