Help Theresa raise money

For participating in Bumrun Toronto 2022

My Story…

A kick in the pants.

Anal retentive.

Shake your booty.

These were all phrases that didn't mean much (especially when shouted on the dance floor of a club), up until a year ago. In May, 2021, my sister, an otherwise healthy, vibrant, 37-year-old, was diagnosed with colerectal cancer. It is a vast understatement to describe cancer as a pain in the ass. Learning that Hayley could have as few as 6 months to live rocked our family and we went through a full range of emotions-- grief, anger, and immense sadness from which we have barely clawed our way out of. Shit truly hit the fan.

Fortunately, Hayley's original prognosis was upgraded. One gruelling round of chemo (one currently on the go), five demanding weeks of radiation, two complex surgeries, and 10 months of pure grit and determination later, and Hayley has a different lease on life.

For those of us privileged enough to bear witness to Hayley's incredible feat of survival, we often felt helpless. So for me, this run is finally a chance to get my ass in gear (sort to speak) and contribute in a meaningful way.

Please consider donating to the cause and to Hayley's team. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, could help Hayley and others like her to improve their prognosis and quality of life. Help us to kick some serious ass!
