Join us for Run Ottawa’s 7th annual Light Run!
GOOD NEWS: So far, the 2021 Light Run has raised over $2,500 for the @Ottawa Food Bank! Thank you to all who have registered and generously donated!
BAD NEWS: We have made the very difficult decision to cancel the in-person Light Run this Wednesday, December 22, due to the rising COVID-19 case numbers. We are HUGELY disappointed but, of course, the safety of the community comes first. We encourage you to dress festively and run the route (safely) solo or in your running bubble, to spread some holiday cheer!
MORE GOOD NEWS: The photo contest for best festive costume and most creative route photo is still a go, so please share your photos with us by tagging us @runottawa and using the hashtags #RunOttawa and #LightRun21 in your feed or story posts or by uploading them to the Race Roster photo gallery. Prizing will be awarded on January 3, 2022.
This event is free to everyone, however, donations are being accepted for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend's Charity Challenge Partner: the Ottawa Food Bank which provides fresh and non-perishable food, as well as supplies such as diapers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to its network of over 100 emergency food programs across the city.
If possible, please consider giving to help people get beyond hunger this holiday season. You can donate through the registration form. Thank you!
