Run for 102 Race to the Finish
Save the date! Run for 102 will be on April 30, 2022 at Congress Park Elementary in Brookfield, IL. Details to follow!
The 7th Annual Run for 102 Race to the Finish is open to anyone within or outside the District 102 community. It benefits the PTO/PTCs for the six schools in District 102: Barnsdale Road School, Congress Park Elementary School, Cossitt Avenue Elementary School, Forest Road Elementary School, Ogden Avenue Elementary School and Park Junior High. The 1-mile fun run will start at 8:00am, and the 5k will start at 9:00am. Please note that only K-8th graders can register for the 1-mile fun run, although parents/guardians are welcome to accompany their children without registration. The event starts & finishes at Congress Park traveling a course through Brookfield and concludes with a post-race party including music, vendors and food!

General Information
1 Mile starts promtply at 8:00am, 5K starts promptly at 9:00am
The Run for 102 uses a disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib. Runners must wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing (preferably chest) in order to be timed accurately. There is no post race chip turn-in or fee for lost or unreturned chips.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will occur on Friday, April 29 from 12pm-6pm at Gemini Gymnastics at 330 Washington Avenue in LaGrange, IL. Registration is available at packet pickup.
Race day registration and packet pickup opens at 6:45am and closes at 7:30am.
Parking
If you are local, please try to walk, bike, or carpool to the start line. For those driving, please park in the following areas:
- Blanchan, DuBois, Deyo, Raymond, Madison or Arthur between Rochester and Ogden
- Anywhere on Maple Avenue
- Congress Park Station (denoted by the blue train symbol and "Congress Park" just north of Ogden Avenue). Brookfield Police Department has confirmed this lot will be available for use during the run.
- Within the race route, but not directly on the race route - please avoid Arthur and Blanchan between Rochester and Sahler and Sahler, Shields and Rochester between Arthur and Blanchan. Please note that if you park within the race route, you may have difficulty leaving the race until after the race ends.
