Scholarship Update!
Registration for the 2023 Mount Dora Live It Ride will open September 1
_______________________________
Come enjoy the scenic routes of Lake County -including Sugarloaf Mountain!
The Mount Dora LIVE IT Ride is produced by LIVE IT EVENTS, LLC of Eustis. The purpose of the event is to provide a phenomenal cycling event that draws guests from all over the state of Florida… and beyond.
BENEFICIARY (Cycling for a Future!)
100% net proceeds will provide scholarship(s) to young adults who wish to attend Lake Technical College, an institution that specializes in training and certifying skilled workers.
The goal is to help young adults realize that Trade School may be a good option for them. According to Marlene Staughan, Principal at Mount Dora High School, about half of the graduates attend college and the others go to the military or join the work force. There is a huge need for skilled workers in this area; we want to help meet this need.
LIVE IT Event organizers wish to help as many young adults as possible each spring, as this will be an annual event.
EVENT INFORMATION
The event itself consists of three different rides to choose from:
- The Rubber Chicken Ride (a 18-mile photo scavenger hunt by bike)
- A Half Metric Century Ride (30 miles)
- A Metric Century Ride (64 miles)
What does it mean to LIVE IT?
To take on challenges that grow you, and help others simultaneously. Win-win!

Weather Cancellation Policies
This is a Rain or Shine event. No refunds or transfers.
The safety of our participants and volunteers is our most important concern and if any of the threatening weather conditions are present the day of the event (tornado warning, tornado watch, thunderstorm, heavy rain or a hurricane decides to visit), the event may be delayed or canceled.
When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, such conditions fall under the label “acts of mother nature,” it will not result in refunding of any event entry fees or future event credits, since funds were already spent in preparation for your event day.
