2022 Arizona Sunrise Series - Phoenix

The 2021 Arizona Sunrise Series serves as a fundraiser for St. Mary's Food Bank.

With your support, we offer an array of programs designed to relieve hunger. Here are some of the many ways we assist the communities of Arizona.

Food Distribution

St. Mary’s distributes food to nearly 500 nonprofits partners in 13 Arizona counties. These agencies include food pantries, dining halls, homeless shelters, and more.

Children's Feeding Programs

One in three children in Arizona lives in poverty and is at risk of going to bed hungry tonight. Arizona ranks 47^th out of 50 states in the number of children who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Our vision is to see that no child goes to bed hungry, so they can live healthy and productive lives. In response to these needs, St. Mary’s Food Bank operates programs that fight child hunger, including Kids Cafe® and the Backpack Program.

Community Kitchen

The Community Kitchen is a life skills and food service training program for those with barriers to employment. Students gain the skills to get jobs offering livable wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement through hands-on food service training as well as classroom studies.

Of course we want you to participate in the Arizona Sunrise Series locally but we understand things come up. So, if you can't join us this summer and still want to run, get the medal, attachments and shirts (if chosen) then you still can! Here is your chance to take part in this event no matter where you are! And of course, all prices include shipping!

Virtual Series registration includes main finisher's medal, 6 remaining location attachments and 6 shirts. You do have the option of only selecting 1 event shirt and receiving 1 Free StartLine Racing Entry to a Future 5K, or 1 Mile Distance (StartLine Racing Event Only). You will receive the medal, the shirt and the first attachment in the first shipment and the rest will be mailed out every two weeks for the remainder of the series.

Prior to the each event all virtual participants will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your time. You have until August 10th to submit your times to earn your points towards the end of series prize drawing. For each set of results you submit you will earn points. At the end of the series the top 100 point earners, plus all participants that complete at least 4 of the 6 remaining series events, will be entered into our Arizona Sunrise Series Prize Drawing.

Custom Series Medal

Custom Medal Add-on for each Series Race You Complete (6 remaining events total)

Custom Event Dri-Fit Racerback Tank Top, Sleeveless Shirt or Short Sleeve Shirt for each of the 6 remaining events

• During registration you will have the option to select one of the following swag packages:
  • One event shirt per each of the 6 remaining events
  • One event shirt plus 1 Free StartLine Racing Entry to a Future 10K, 5K, or 1 Mile Distance (StartLine Racing Event Only)
    • If you select this option you will receive your shirt at the first event. After the completion of the series you will be emailed instructions on how to claim your free entry.

Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups at each live event. There are no age group awards for virtual events. Our age groups are the following:

Real Time Results and Photos on our Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)

Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, etc). Bottled water will be available at the finish line only. Water coolers will be out on the course.

Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 5:30am at each location

We accept cash, check, and credit cards on race day

• Cost of registration on race day will be $50 for each race

Please note that your shirt size is not guaranteed for those who register on race day.

We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.

No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

Walkers are welcome!

Leashed pet friendly!

We run rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfer due to weather.

Starting Options

• First, Registration/Check-In will open at 5:30am. From 5:30-6:15am there will be an open start line. Meaning you can start whenever you would like during that time frame.
• Second, we will have a traditional mass start at 6:30am. There will be no option to start after 6:30am.
• You do not need to inform us of which option you are choosing. These options are meant to give you more flexibility of choosing when you start.
