Moving Forward’s purpose is to provide Day and Employment Services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, social anxiety, learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disabilities, transition to greater independence. This is a truly special organization, intentionally designed to aid individuals who can easily be lost in a big pond. Care and respect are the basic principles for staff at Moving Forward. Members travel daily to Hyannis from all over the Cape to attend this wonderful program.
Moving Forward Inc is a day hab program in West Barnstable. Moving Forward's purpose is to provide Day Services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, social anxiety, learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disabilities, helping them transition to greater independence. It is intentionally designed small to aid individuals who can easily be lost in a big pond but flourish in a small setting. Care and respect are basic principles for staff at Moving Forward. At Moving Forward, individuals are encouraged to be their best every day; helping members build confidence.
Being disabled is tough enough but Covid-19 was extremely difficult for the members of Moving Forward, forcing separation from peers for almost a year. The staff at Moving Forward have been amazing, doing everything possible to get clients back to program as soon as it was safe. Moving Forward's dedication to their clients is outstanding.
The Falmouth Road Race team is working to raise funds to defray the costs of creating an outdoor sheltered meeting space at our location on White Cap Lane.
