My Story
So incredibly inspired by the foundation’s mission to empower women and fight for world where women can live boldly and fearlessly. Vanessa was tragically killed by a senseless act of violence while out for a run and it was truly heartbreaking. I vividly recall being 6 months pregnant with my first child at her services and reflecting how unfair it was as I listened to how remarkable and inspiring of a woman Vanessa was. My college roommate/best friend/MOH was childhood besties with Vanessa and I am beyond honored to run in her memory and join the team to help raise funds and awareness for this amazing foundation. I am running the 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race. Please donate to help me raise funds for the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to empower women to live boldly and fearlessly, and to reduce violence, objectification and harassment. It furthers its mission by providing self-defense training and educational opportunities, and partnering with like-minded organizations to address the root causes of violence.
