My Story…
Over 3 years ago, my best friend’s son died in a tragic skiing accident. The grief we experienced alongside the Shaw family and their community was unparalleled. Sue and Nick have miraculously managed to be beacons of hope and comfort for all of us, even as they dealt with this unspeakable loss. William Wolfgang Shaw did a whole lot of amazing things in his 9 years of living, and we are inspired daily by his zest for life. When Sue sent the group text a few months ago asking if anyone would want to run in William’s honor, we all said YES! And then I panicked. Have I run 7 miles since I last ran the Falmouth Road Race over 15 years ago? Heck no. Is training easy? Nope! But can I do it for William? YES. Yes I can, and yes we can. We love you William, we love you Shaw family, and we are forever humbled and grateful to be a part of your journey ❤️.
