My Story…
I was diagnosed with TNBC back in 2015. I was just 30 years old with a new baby at home. I was always very healthy and active with no family history of any cancers. The news shattered my world. It was a lot to deal with. I was lucky to have help from my husband and my mom but the stress of a cancer diagnosis is devastating. What the Ellie Fund does is amazing. To help these women, these families… to take a little bit of that stress away. As soon as I heard what they did, I knew I had to help.
I saw that they were participating in the Falmouth Road Race... I saw that it was 7 miles.. So I thought 7 miles... 1 mile for each year I've been lucky enough to remain in remission. It seemed fated. So here we are =)
I hope that I am able to raise enough money to really make an impact. To take just a little bit of that stress, fear, and devastation away…. Please consider helping me help them.
