My Story…
In 2019, I registered for the 2020 Boston Marathon with Stepping Strong. I trained through the harsh Boston winter temperatures and was physically prepared to run this race. In March of 2020, my hopes were shattered with the outbreak of Covid-19. I had to defer my spot that year because I was working the front lines and did not have the time or energy to train for a marathon. I decided 2021 was my year! I finally ran the 125th Boston Marathon in October, full of emotions and an extreme sense of accomplishment. I dedicated my run to those who lost their lives to Covid-19, to those who work the front lines, and for my friends and family who supported me every step of the way.
Now, I am running the Falmouth Road Race, a smaller goal but a reason to keep running for Stepping Strong and Brigham and Women's! I have designated my fundraising to go to Prostate Cancer Research. Prostate Cancer has effected my family, as well as many other men and their families. This research will help change the way we detect, monitor and treat this disease.
