Help Elisabeth raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

My son, Ronnie, is a long term survivor of an inoperable brain tumor. After 14 years of treatment - 4 rounds of chemo followed by proton beam radiation therapy - he was declared officially done with treatment in July 2020.  He is now a thriving 17 year old about to enter his senior year of high school.  I've run the Boston Marathon 5 times to raise money for pediatric cancer research.  My marathon days are over but I haven't given up running entirely.  I do still like to give back any way I can. Through the treatment years, Ronnie was always an enthusiastic participant in One Summit events.  When I told him I had an opportunity to run the Falmouth Road Race with the One Summit team, he said, "Do it!"  I started running for Ronnie.  I keep doing it for myself.  One Summit has helped us both cope with the realities of growing up with cancer.  I hope you will consider donating to this worthy group to help other children - and their moms.

Description

I couldn't be more excited to be part of Team One Summit. The task of running a race may seem daunting but pales in comparison to those suffering from pediatric cancer. It's an honor to participate in this year's Falmouth Road Race in support of One Summit - a nonprofit with a mission of building resilience in kids battling cancer through experiential learning and mentorship with U.S. Navy SEALs.

It is my goal to raise over $1,500! Hope you'll consider supporting my efforts by donating today!
