My Story…
In October 2021, I joined The New England Center for Children (NECC), an education and research institution that helps children living with autism lead fuller lives. My life has been incredibly impacted in the six short months I have been a part of this organization; the strength of children I see every day in the hallways and the dedication and compassion of the teachers and my fellow colleagues is inspiring.
The last two years have had a drastic effect on our students. Children with autism crave routine and need access to the resources provided by the school, yet COVID continues to disrupt their schedules, often times preventing them from coming to the center due to positive COVID cases in the residential homes. This, coupled by a national staffing shortage, has severely impacted NECC.
I am hoping that my fundraising efforts as a member of #TeamNECC's Falmouth Road Race team will allow me to help the students and their incredible teachers in some small way. Thank you in advance for any support!
