OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
I first registered to run on the ALS One Falmouth Road Race Team in 2018 to honor Rick Marks, a fellow Scout Leader. Rick was a kind hearted, soft spoken man who was always ready to lend a hand. He personified the Scout Law, being "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent". I continue fundraising for the ALS One team to honor Rick's memory, and for so many others. I've since known 2 clients who lost their battle with ALS, and been inspired by so many others living their best lives while fighting to survive. Research continues and has made progress, but we still have a long way to go before a treatment or a cure can be found. Only with funding can this research continue.
