Help Kate raise money

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  I’ll be taking to the streets of Falmouth for my 9^th time to support Beat Childhood Cancer…… I run this Sunday so please consider sponsoring this great team!

This year marks the 50^th anniversary of the Falmouth Road Race and the most difficult year to obtain a bib to run.  I was surprised when I learned I received an entry because of the fundraising I had done through the race over the past decade and was even more shocked to learn it was a weekend I was already planning to be back in Massachusetts.  Despite the fact I have not trained I knew I needed to commit once again to run as a member of Team Beat Childhood Cancer (BCC) to raise funds for children battling cancer.   

For those who may not be familiar with BCC, the non-profit 501(c) organization has been developing and expanding strategies to bring precision medicines to kids, while actively creating new treatment options for kids battling cancer since 2010. Their patient centered focus is not based on a single doctor, hospital, or drug.  It is about helping every child, everywhere survive and thrive following a childhood cancer diagnosis. 

I originally joined BCC when it was known as Beat NB (focused solely on Neuroblastoma) as a member of their Board of Directors. Over the years I have been affiliated with the organization I have watched the team grow to cover more regions, types of childhood cancers and most importantly save children’s lives. This amazing organization has made tremendous progress and has save so many lives, but there is much work to be done. 

I am proud to say I have been able to personally fundraise nearly $75,000 for BCC while running as part of the team.  This year I am getting a very late start at my efforts…..   I humbly ask for your help in our efforts to eradicate childhood cancer with a request to consider donating to my run (which is in 2 days!!)  Every donation, large or small, makes a difference.
