Fundraising for Cures!
In 2019, I was hospitalized with what I thought would be appendicitis but turned out to be Crohn’s Disease - a chronic autoimmune condition with no known cause or cure. For at least ten years prior to my diagnosis, I suffered episodes of severe abdominal pain that medical providers didn’t take seriously because I didn’t have the stereotypical symptom of running to the bathroom all the time. The past three years have been a rollercoaster and expensive, but I’m lucky to have well-managed disease, great doctors, and lots of support and resources. Running is my lifelong passion, and this year I’m running for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to fund research that can help cure and hopefully one day prevent others from having to live with inflammatory bowel disease. Thank you for your support!
