Help Tricia raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Welcome to my 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!

This August I will be running the 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race on the Gray Nation Endurance team in support of the National Brain Tumor Society.

This won't be my first Falmouth Road Race (in fact, it will be my 13th overall) but it will only be the second time I am running for Team Gray Nation and in memory of my uncle, Larry C. Keating, Jr.

Uncle Larry was diagnosed in October of 2020 with a glioblastoma tumor. He was treated by the fantastic team at Duke's Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center but after a hard-fought battle that included surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy we lost him in May 2021 just a few weeks short of his 77th birthday.

Before retiring in 2019, Uncle Larry spent more than 50 years working in intercollegiate athletics. He cared passionately about his teams and the student-athletes that he coached and served in his administrative roles. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor to many, his influence and accomplishments stretch further than the hall of fame inductions and accolades that he received over the course of his career and lifetime. He lived his life with humor and grace, focusing on doing what was right, taking care of others when he could, and not focusing on getting the credit just getting the job done. He was a model for how we all should spend our time together while we have it.

The meaning behind the miles in this race and the training for it are important for many reasons. It is my chance to honor a man who meant so much to me and many others and a chance to help the National Brain Tumor Society conquer and cure brain tumors - once and for all.

If you are able to, I hope you will consider making a donation to support. And certainly, if you are unable to donate yourself, but would be willing to pass my page along to your networks or others that might be able to make a gift I would be forever grateful.

Thank you and let's go!

"It is amazing how much can be accomplished
if no one cares who gets the credit." - John Wooden
