This upcoming August I will be running the Falmouth Road race with the Herron Project! If you aren’t familiar with the Herron Project, they are a non-profit organization that focuses on addiction recovery. Here is their link: https://herrenproject.org/.
The reason I am running with the Herron Project is that a few years back, I lost one of my cousins to an overdose. He battled addiction for years, and sadly he was not able to beat it. One of my best friends, who will be running the race with the Herron Project, also just lost a family member to an overdose last year. In honor of both our family members and all the great work the Herron Project does, a group of my friends will each be fundraising and running the race in mid-august. Any donation - no matter how big of small - will be going to a great cause. I thank you for supporting my fundraising efforts.
