My Story…
I'll be running this year honoring my brother. Most of you know Bobby. He is my big bro, but more importantly, he goes by Uncle Bobby to my three boys. He is an adult living with Spina Bifida. For some unfortunate circumstances, Bobby unexpectedly moved in with me this past year. I had not lived with him since we were teens. It was eye opening! He's a quiet guy, so advocating for himself is tough. I soon realized Bobby had needs and I tapped into the wonderful resources of the SB community. I also realized that data is limited on adults with SB and finding providers in our area that specialize with adults with SB is tough. Bobby has since moved out, but during his time with my family he made some amazing changes to his health and life and I couldn't be more proud of him. For that reason, this run holds a little more value than in the past:)
Description
I am proud to be running the 50th Annual Falmouth Road Race this year in support of the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England. This tiny, but mighty, organization does incredible work providing resources, advocacy, education, and community for individuals and families living with Spina Bifida in all 6 New England states. It has made a huge impact on me and my family, and I greatly appreciate your generous support!
