My Story…
I am participating in the 50th annual Falmouth Road Race to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of my late grandmother Barbara who passed away this year and my Uncle Jeffrey who had Cystic Fibrosis and passed in 1989.
Grandma Barbara was devoted to Uncle Jeffrey for 33 years. She wore many hats as mother to her terminally ill son. She gave him her undying love and devotion to keeping him alive every day and helped him to live each day as normally and productively as possible. My Uncle Jeffrey was an exceptional man, he lived with CF and did not let the disease define him. He lived life on his own terms, achieved a magna cum laude master’s degree in Education, played competitive tennis, loved bike riding all over the Cape, married the girl of his dreams and became a father! Jeffery lived his 33 years with grit, determination and class.
I am proud to call these two my family. They have inspired me to run my first Falmouth Road Race thisAugust and I hope you will join me in raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, every dollar and every breath counts.
