My Story…
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This year will be my 7th year running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts in honor of my mother, a brain injury survivor.
In March of 2013 at age 56, my mom suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, and as is the case with many brain injuries, she will never be the same. In addition to the paraylsis to her right side which restricts her mobility, the aneurysm also affected her speech. She suffers from aphasia and although she is able to comprehend what others are saying, she is unable to articulate her thoughts. There are numerous other things she will never be able to do again - but thanks to all of the support and treatment she has received, she is alive.
I am running this race for brain injury survivors like my mom who are unable to run themselves. I hope to raise awareness as well as money for the BIA-MA so that they can continue to help survivors and their families recover from these devastating injuries.

Thank you for coming to my page to make a donation towards my efforts to support the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA).
BIA-MA strives to create a better future for all those affected by brain injury. The purpose of the organization is to educate the public on the risk and impact of brain injury, promote programs to educate and prevent those injuries, advocate for improved legislation, and to offer support and resources to persons with brain injuries and their caregivers and families.
Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
