Help Chris raise money

I am running in the Falmouth Road Race on August 21st, raising funds for Independence House.  This is the 50th year of the Road Race and my 11th year.  I considered closing this chapter of my life after the 10th year, but who wouldn't want to be part of a 50 year celebration!

Independence House continues to be a presence on Cape Cod, as according to our annual reports over the past few years, over 9,000 contacts have been made each year through our 24/7 hotline, court advocate's assistance, counseling ( both adults and child/teens,) shelter and lawyer contacts. ( We have a lawyer on staff now.)  People who come through our doors, still come filled with shame and blame.  Our counseling focus is to empower each of them with the tools that will bring back their self confidence and self esteem.

Each year our Road Race team raises between $12 - $15,000 and is an important part of our fundraising.  Thank you to those who have donated in the past.  Because of your generosity over the years, I have personally raised over $15,000.  My goal this year is $2000 and I am asking you to consider a donation of $20, more if you can, less if you can't.
