As you may know my amazing sister has Down Syndrome and we spent many joyful summers watching her compete in and volunteering at the Special Olympics! It was a full family affair!!
The best part was watching her run… she was so happy with all the cheering crowds and volunteers it was amazing for her to have this time in the spotlight! Her smile was so big and the running didn’t even matter.
I am honored to run for this organization and give back some of the smiles they gave to us! I can imagine my own smile being as big as hers when I cross the finish!
