My Story…
Join me in raising funds to help achieve equitable youth justice! This August, I’m running the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race (50th anniversary) alongside Citizens for Juvenile Justice. All donations will go directly to CfJJ, the only independent, non-profit, statewide organization working exclusively to reform and reimagine the juvenile justice system in Massachusetts. CfJJ works to combat racial and socioeconomic disparities in the justice system. In 2018, it successfully pushed for legislation which raised the age of juvenile jurisdiction - previously, children between the ages of 7-11 could be arrested, prosecuted, and locked up. In addition, it’s currently working to pass laws which will create safer schools and expand access to education. Right now, students charged with ANY felony can be suspended/expelled from school without the opportunity for any due process in court. Read more on their website.
