Help Margot raise money

I’m lacing up my sneakers for the 50^th running of the Falmouth Road Race this year.  It just so happens that it coincides closely with a very big birthday for me!!! I am running for a non-profit organization call CCALS. (Compassionate Care ALS)

 Six Years ago my energetic, fun loving, wonderful mom was diagnosed with ALS. Although it has taken away her ability to enjoy the life she once had, (she can’t eat, speak, laugh and move without assistance) it has not taken away her amazing spirit. After some careful planning and organization, we were finally able to get mom and dad to their happy place (Cape Cod) right before the 4^th. Mom is enjoying the many visits from her kids and grandchildren and even her great grandchildren. The move to the Cape and the efforts of getting the house set up for mom’s needs would not have been possible without the help and support of CCALS.

Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support people diagnosed with ALS, their families, healthcare providers, and communities as they navigate the complexities, both physical and emotional, associated with the disease. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational opportunities, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, communication assistance, guidance and awareness with regards to living with ALS, caregiving, and exploring end-of-life when invited. CCALS offers an innovative approach to delivering support and services.
