My Story…
We are running for Cops for Kids with Cancer on behalf of 4-year old Connor Keefe, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in November of 2020. He is being treated by Children's' Hospital and Dana Farber and his prognosis is very positive. Last year, we raised funds for Children's Hospital and this year we are supporting CFKWC as they do great things for families struggling with this dreaded disease. As an example, the Boston Police Mobile Operations Team, as part of Cops for Kids with Cancer, invited Connor to visit their headquarters in Roxbury where they were given a special tour of all the neat equipment there and treated to pizza and soda afterwards.The Boston Police Officers on duty - Mike Fayles, Chris Carr, Brian Carson, Jamie Petruski and Jackson Hernandes - could not have been nicer or kinder. It was an amazing afternoon. We want to give this charity our full support so they can bring smiles to other kids and families struggling with the challenges of cancer. Please help us help them. I am running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. Cops for Kids with Cancer is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds for those directly involved in the care of children with cancer, with each family typically receiving $5,000. The goal of the organizations is to help the children and their caregivers through this most difficult crisis. In addition to the crushing emotional toll taken, there is a financial domino effect in having a child diagnosed with cancer.
