My Story…
When we received the news that my testicular cancer had returned in mid 2021, our first thought was "how are we going to do this." How will we survive this next round of treatment for our kids and our future? This question was answered by all of you, our community, who stepped up with emotional and physical support, along with our team of doctors and health care professionals at Dana Farber & Brigham.
We are happy to be in a place that we can focus our efforts to help others gain access to treatment and support families affected by cancer. I cannot say that our journey with cancer is done. It most likely will never be over. However we are thankful to be on the way to recovery. We have thought a lot about the right charity partner to put our efforts behind, and found the Ryan Richards Foundation aligned with what we value. Their goal of raising awareness and funds to support families, research, and scholarships directly align with what we believe is important.
Kel has been adamant that she would like to be a part of helping others and giving back. Additionally, my body is not back to where I hoped it to be. For those two reasons, we have decided that she will run this race, while I support all of the fundraising efforts. If you are someone who supports charities, I encourage you to consider donating to this cause that will make significant impact on those battling cancer today and those who will be impacted tomorrow.
Donate to help Kelly raise money for The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
