OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
My name is Meghan Giacalone and I am running in this years Falmouth Road Race on Team ALS ONE.
I am running in memory of my mother and hero, Deborah Giacalone, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2003. After a courageous battle my mother lost her fight against ALS in October 2006, leaving behind two young daughters and a loving husband.
Because of my personal experience I constantly look for ways to raise money to support further research to find a cure for this heartbreaking disease. Any and all support in the fight against ALS is appreciated.
In 2020 I ran the Falmouth Road Race for The Cape and Island Suicide Prevention Coalition. During that race I thanked many other participants sporting ALS ONE tank tops. I was overwhelmed by the number of ALS ONE runners and knew I wanted to support their cause further. Through conversation with my co-worker/friend John I was able to join this years ALS ONE team. I look forward to beating him in both fundraising and racing.
